Breast Fibroadenoma: What It Is and How It Is Managed<\/strong><\/p>\n

What is a fibroadenoma?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The fibroadenoma<\/strong> is the most common benign breast tumor<\/strong>, especially in women aged 15 to 35 years. It accounts for about 50% of breast biopsies in this age group. It usually appears as a round, mobile and painless formation<\/strong>, and can be single or multiple.<\/p>\n

The etiology remains unclear, but is related to hormonal fluctuations<\/strong> of reproductive age. Most fibroadenomas subside or stabilize after menopause.<\/strong><\/p>\n
