Dr. Apostolos Mitrousias is Breast Surgeon – Specialist in Breast Diseases, Military Medical Officer currently serving as a Consultant Surgeon at the 251 Hellenic Air Force General Hospital in Athens, where he is also Head of the Breast Clinic
He has specialized in and been actively involved in He has specialized exclusively in Breast Surgical Oncology and Oncoplastic Reconstruction.
He runs his own private Breast Clinic and collaborates with the Breast Center of Euroclinic (Ampelokipoi), Mediterraneo Hospital (Glyfada), and IASO Thessalias (Larissa).

Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed malignancy in women, with around 1.7 million cases reported globally each year, and a lifetime risk affecting 1 in 8 women.

Biopsy

The final diagnosis of any breast abnormality is confirmed histologically through biopsy, which involves obtaining a tissue sample from the suspicious lesion for microscopic evaluation.
